WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL HISTORY
Over 120 years ago when our first teacher, Miss Minnie Owens, taught at the "Little Church on the Hill" to our modern schools today (which includes 9 campuses), past and present students, parents, teachers, and administrators can be proud of our School Heritage. We hope you enjoy the documents and pictures we have provided here. Select a decade folder on the left and enjoy a walk back in time through our School's History.
To preserve the historical look of many of these documents and pictures it was decided not to edit and enhance them too much. When scanning, we took care not to damage them. As a result, some of these will be difficult to read. It is how we found them.
A special "Thank You" to Dickinson ISD, the Dickinson Historical Society, Dickinson Library, and many of our graduates for allowing us to borrow these treasures and archive them into one central location for our members. Many of the pictures and articles came from our past and present newspapers -- the Galveston newspapers, Suburban Journal, Dickinson News, The Dickinsonian, and others. These papers have been a valuable resource for documenting our history.
In closing, many of you have old pictures and articles that would be of interest to our graduates. Please contact us on Facebook. We will take care of your pictures and will make sure that you get them back. We are especially looking for pictures from our classmates that went to Bacliff, San Leon, and True Cross Schools during their Primary and Elementary school days.
Check back from time-to-time as we will continue to add to our School History.
